Investigation travels

Investigation travels are part of my life. And with investigation travels I earn my living. I gain new impressions on my trips and I am in the privileged situation that I work for the National Public Radio, so that my impressions and reports are broadcast by radio packages on “Bayern2” or on our news channel “B5 aktuell”. Here you can find a small overview about my last travels – since 2011 there were more travels, of course, but I stopped counting them.

29.11. – 05.12.2010: Organization of an investigation travel to Moldova (Chisinov and Transnistria) for, together with Oliver Bilger and Björn Finke (both Sueddeutsche Zeitung)
06. – 10.10.2010: Investigation travel to Pécs (Hungary) within the context of the annual conference of n-ost
14. – 25.09.2010: Investigation travel to Georgia with an institution for political education called “Bundeszentrale fuer politische Bildung (bpb)”
31.08. – 04.09.2010: Investigation travel to Poland (Warsaw and Torun) with a German Network for Youth Topics (PNJ)
26. – 30.06.2010: Circom European Summer Academy 2010: Research for a TV story about the political right-wing shift in the Netherlands (“The Geert Wilder phenomenon”) in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag
03. – 11.01.2010: Foreign Correspondent Training in Prag, including investigations for a radio feature about “The Czechs and their Beer” (Bayern2)
22. – 27.10.2009: German-Russian Youth Exchange called “Totschka-Treff” in Petrosavodsk and St. Petersburg, besides investigations about “Naschi” (Europa-Report, B5 aktuell)
August 2009: Investigation travel to St. Petersburg for a radio feature about “The Renaissance of the Orthodox Church in Russia” (Bayern2)
May 2006: Organization of an investigation travel to Romania (Bucarest and Sibiu) for, together with Oliver Bilger (Sueddeutsche Zeitung) and Stefanie Bolzen (Die Welt)
